Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
