Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake 1 and earth brings forth her burdens, 2 and man cries out, "What has happened to her?" 3 upon that day she shall tell her tidings 4 for your Lord will have revealed to it. 5 Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works, 6 and whoso has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
