Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Those who disbelieve [in the Oneness of Allah, and in the Message of Prophet Muhammad SAW], and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah (Islamic Monotheism), He will render their deeds vain. 1 As for those who believe and do good deeds and believe in what has been revealed to Muhammad, and it is the truth from their Lord, God will remove their sins from them and set their condition right. 2 This is because the disbelievers followed falsehood and the believers followed the Truth which is from their Lord; this is how Allah illustrates the examples of people to them. 3 NOW WHEN you meet [in war] those who are bent on denying the truth, smite their necks until you overcome them fully, and then tighten their bonds; but thereafter [set them free,] either by an act of grace or against ransom, so that the burden of war may be lifted: thus [shall it be]. And [know that] had God so willed, He could indeed punish them [Himself]; but [He wills you to struggle] so as to test you [all] by means of one another. And as for those who are slain in God's cause, never will He let their deeds go to waste: 4 He will guide them and improve their condition; 5 And admit them to the Garden which He has announced for them. 6 O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm. 7 And (as for) those who disbelieve, for them is destruction and He has made their deeds ineffective. 8 That is so as they were averse to what has been revealed by God, and their actions will be nullified. 9 ۞ Have they not travelled through the earth, and seen what was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed them completely and a similar (fate awaits) the disbelievers. 10 This is so for God is the friend of those who believe while the unbelievers have no friend. 11
