Do they whose minds are filled with doubt, think that God will not expose their malice? 29 If We willed, We would show them to you and you would recognize them by their marks. But you will surely know them by their twisted speech. Allah knows your deeds. 30 And of a surety We shall prove you all until We know the strivers among you and the steadfast, and We shall prove your states. 31 Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allah and opposed the Messenger after guidance had become clear to them - never will they harm Allah at all, and He will render worthless their deeds. 32 O ye who believe! Obey Allah and obey the messenger, and render not your actions vain. 33 ۞ Verily, those who disbelieve, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah (i.e. Islam); then die while they are disbelievers, Allah will not forgive them. 34 And be not slack so as to cry for peace and you have the upper hand, and Allah is with you, and He will not bring your deeds to naught. 35 The life of the world is but a sport and a pastime. And if ye believe and ward off (evil). He will give you your wages, and will not ask of you your wordly wealth. 36 If He should ask it of you and importune you, ye would hoard it, and He would bring to light your (secret) hates. 37 Behold! ye are those who are called to expend in the way of Allah, then there are of you some who are niggardly. And whosoever is niggardly is niggardly only to himself. And Allah is Self-Sufficient, and ye are the needy. And if ye turn away, He will substitute for you another people, and then they will not be the likes of you. 38
