Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 No, but they marvel that from among themselves a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say (in mockery): 'This is a marvelous thing! 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 In fact, they have rejected the truth that has come to them, thus, they live in confusion. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 An insight and an admonition for every bondman penitent. 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 As sustenance for the bondmen; and with it We revived a dead city; this is how you will be raised. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 And the tribe of 'Ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. 15
