QAF. I CALL to witness the glorious Qur'an. 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 to come back to life after we have died and become dust? That is most improbable!" 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 And the earth, We have made it plain and cast in it mountains and We have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds, 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We have sent down from the heaven water and blest wherewith We have caused gardens to grow and the grain reaped. 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 as sustenance for My servants. With this We have brought the dead land back to life. Thus, will also be your resurrection. 11 The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud, 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 So did We tire by creating the first time? Rather they doubt being created again. 15
