Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 that after we die and become dust, we shall be brought back to life again. This seems far from reality". 3 (Thus do they imagine, although) We know well what the earth takes away from them. With Us is a Record that preserves everything. 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 And the earth! We have spread it forth, and have cast therein firm mountains, and have caused to grow therein of every beauteous kind of plants: 7 This is a reminder and it sharpens the insight of every servant of God who turns to Him in repentance. 8 We also sent down blessed water from the heaven, wherewith We caused gardens and harvest-grain to grow, 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 all this as sustenance for Our servants. And thus We do bring the dead land back to life with water. Such shall be the coming forth (of human beings from the earth). 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a new creation. 15
