NAY, but consider the moon! 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning unto humankind 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
