He created man and surely know what misdoubts arise in their hearts; for We are closer to him than his jugular vein. 16 When both receivers (the angels) receive, one on his right, the other on his left, 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown; that is the Day of the Threat. 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this, but now We have removed your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 His companion will say: "Here is (the record) I have ready with me." 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 "Every obstructor of good, transgressor, and the sceptic, 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29
