Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
