Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They slept very little during the night 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
