Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
