Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 and the burden-bearers 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 and the partitioners, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
