Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
