Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 and those that apportion [the gift of life] at [God's] behest! 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
