Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibrael (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahim (Abraham)? 24 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' 25 Then he went apart unto his housefolk so that they brought a fatted calf; 26 He then presented it before them and said, “Do you not eat?” 27 He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. 28 Then his wife drew near vociferating, and smote her face, and said: an old barren woman! 29 "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." 30 ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! 31 They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people 32 That we may send down upon them stone of clay, 33 Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." 34 So We brought forth such believers as were in it, 35 We found in it only one household of true believers -- 36 and left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. 38 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman." 39 So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. 40 And also in Ad, when We loosed against them the withering wind 41 that left nothing it came upon, except that it was ashes. 42 And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. 44 they could not stand up again, nor could they defend themselves. 45 And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient. 46
