Hath the story of Abraham's honoured guests reached thee (O Muhammad)? 24 Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." 25 Then he went apart unto his housefolk so that they brought a fatted calf; 26 He then presented it before them and said, “Do you not eat?” 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. 28 Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' 29 'Such, says your Lord' they replied: 'He is the Wise, the Knower' 30 ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! 31 They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people 32 "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), 33 marked by your Lord upon those who go beyond the limits.” 34 Thus We brought forth from therein who were believers. 35 But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: 36 and We left therein a Sign for those who fear the grievous chastisement. 37 And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 and he turned away in [the pride of] his power and said, "A sorcerer [is this Moses,] or a madman!" 39 So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. 40 And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. 41 It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. 42 There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of the Thamud, who were told to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. 43 But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape, 44 So they were not able to rise up, nor could they defend themselves- 45 And before them, We destroyed the people of Nooh; they were indeed a sinning nation. 46
