Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 When they came in to him, and said, "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered; "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me," 25 So he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf. 26 and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. 28 Then his wife drew near vociferating, and smote her face, and said: an old barren woman! 29 'Such, says your Lord' they replied: 'He is the Wise, the Knower' 30 ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! 31 They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people, 32 that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones 33 marked by your Lord for the sinful' 34 Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there, 35 But We found in it only one household of those who had surrendered themselves, 36 We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. 37 And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". 39 So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable. 40 And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. 41 It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. 42 There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Thamud. They were told: “Enjoy yourselves for a while.” 43 But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw. 44 And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. 45 And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient. 46
