Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? 24 When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They were a people he did not recognise. 25 So he hurried to the house and brought a fatted calf, 26 He placed it before them. Then he said, "Why are you not eating?" 27 He began to feel afraid. They said, "Do not be afraid," and then gave him the glad news of the birth of a knowledgeable son. 28 (Sarah) his wife came with an exclamation and clasped her face, and said: 'Surely, I am a barren old woman' 29 They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." 30 ۞ Said [Abraham]: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" 31 They said: verily we are sent unto a people, guilty. 32 to loose upon them stones of clay 33 Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). 34 So We brought forth such believers as were in it, 35 But We found there but one house of those surrendered (to Allah). 36 And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. 37 And in Musa also was a lesson, when We sent him unto Fir'awn with authority manifest. 38 But Pharaoh turned away, showing arrogance on account of his power, and said (about Moses): “He is either a sorcerer or a madman.” 39 So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. 40 There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind 41 It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. 42 And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." 43 They transgressed against the command of their Lord. So a blast of sound struck them and they were unable to do anything but stare. 44 for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. 45 So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. 46
