▼ 52 The Mountain
Al-Toor 2 of 2
So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or do they say: “He is a poet for whom we await an adverse turn of fortune.” 30 Say (unto them): Except (your fill)! Lo! I am with you among the expectant. 31 Does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people? 32 Do they say: 'He has invented it' No, they do not believe. 33 Then let them bring a discourse like it, if they speak truly. 34 Were they created out of nothing, or are they their own creators? 35 Or have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact they are certain of nothing. 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Or have they the means by which they listen? Then let their listener bring a clear authority. 38 Or has He (Allah) only daughters and you have sons? 39 Or askest thou a hire from them so that they are with debt laden? 40 Or that the Ghaib (unseen) is with them, and they write it down? 41 Or desire they to outwit? The unbelievers, they are the outwitted. 42 Or have they a god, other than God? Glory be to God, above that which they associate! 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 For the harmdoers there is indeed, a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 And so, await in patience thy Sustainer's judgment, for thou art well within Our sight. And extol thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise whenever thou risest up, 48 And in the night also hallow Him, and at the setting of the stars. 49
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
