Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
