Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
