Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 He plunged the villages 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
