Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
