(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from a discharged living germ 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
