Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 Thamud, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
