Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
