Al-Najm 3 of 3
Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 Thamud, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
