Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
