Thamood, too, belied Our warnings. 23 So they said: What! a single mortal from among us! Shall we follow him? Most surely we shall in that case be in sure error and distress: 24 How is it that he has received guidance? In fact, he is the most untruthfull and arrogant person". 25 [We said to him] "Tomorrow they shall know who is the boastful liar, 26 Verily, We are sending the she-camel as a test for them. So watch them [O Salih (Saleh)], and be patient! 27 And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn]. 28 But they call their comrade and he took and hamstrung (her). 29 How [terrible] were My punishment and My warnings! 30 We sent upon them a single blast of sound and they were left like hay to be used by the cattle. 31 We made the Quran easy to understand, but is there anyone who would take heed? 32 The people of Lut rejected (his) warning. 33 We sent down upon them a violent sandstorm (which destroyed them all) except for the family of Lot, whom We saved in the early morning by Our favor. 34 As a favour from Us. Thus We recompense him who giveth thanks. 35 And (Lut) did warn them of Our Punishment, but they disputed about the Warning. 36 Even his guests they had solicited of him; so We obliterated their eyes, saying, 'Taste now My chastisement and My warnings!' 37 And certainly a lasting chastisement overtook them in the morning. 38 So taste My chastisement and My warning. 39 And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? 40

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
