▼ 54 The Moon
Al-Qamar 3 of 3
Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 but they rejected all Our miracles. So We seized them in the way that a Majestic and All-powerful One would. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: 'We are a gathering that will be victorious' 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 On the day when they are dragged upon their faces in the fire – “Taste the heat of hell.” 48 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We destroyed those like you, is there any that will remember! 51 Every thing that they have done is in the Scrolls, 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and among rivers. 54 in a sure abode, in the presence of a King Omnipotent. 55
