And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning. 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Lo! the guilty are in error and madness. 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 And Our Order is but one word like the flashing of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you; is there any that will remember? 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 In a seat of truth (i.e. Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour). 55
