The warnings also came to Pharaoh's people, 41 The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or is it that they say: we are a multitude prevailing! 44 The army will be routed and put to flight. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell. 48 Surely We have created everything according to a measure. 49 We command but once: Our will is done in the twinkling of an eye; 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 Whatever they have done has been recorded in the Books (records of the deeds). 52 everything, be it great or small, is recorded. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 In the seat of honor with a most Powerful King. 55
