The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 has created man, 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
