The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He created man. 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 25
