The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created man, 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 And grain chaffed and other food. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 16 He is the Lord of the East and West through all seasons. 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 25
