▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
For any who fears to stand before his Lord are two Gardens. 46 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 47 [There will be two gardens with] spreading branches. 48 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 49 In both of them are two springs, flowing. 50 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 51 In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs. 52 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 53 Reclining there on carpets lined with brocade, fruits of the garden hanging low within reach. 54 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 55 In them shall be those who restrained their eyes; before them neither man nor jinni shall have touched them. 56 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 57 As though rubies and pearls. 58 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 59 Should the reward of goodness be aught else but goodness? -- 60 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 61 And besides these two there shall be two other Gardens. 62 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 63 Dark green with foliage. 64 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 65 In these there will also be two springs gushing forth. 66 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 67 In both gardens there will be fruits, palm-trees, and pomegranates 68 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 69 In the midst of these will be maidens, good and comely. 70 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 71 Maidens (of Paradise, Houris) in cloistered cool pavilions. 72 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 73 Whom neither a man or jinn had ever touched before them. 74 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 75 Reclining upon cushions green and carpets beauteous. 76 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 77 Blessed be the name of thy Lord, full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour. 78
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
