▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for him who fears to stand before his Lord are two gardens. 46 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 47 With spreading branches. 48 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 49 With two springs of water flowing through them both. -- 50 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 51 In both of them there will be every kind of fruits in pairs. -- 52 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 53 [They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low. 54 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 55 In these [gardens] will be mates of modest gaze, whom neither man nor invisible being will have touched ere then. 56 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 57 Like unto Rubies and coral. 58 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 59 Should the reward of goodness be aught else but goodness? -- 60 Which of the laudable attributes of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 61 And besides these two are two (other) gardens: 62 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain beli? 63 dark green in color. 64 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 65 Therein are two gushing fountains of water. 66 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 67 In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates. 68 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 69 In them shall be good and pleasing. 70 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 71 [There the blessed will live with their] pure companions sheltered in pavilions. 72 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 73 Whom neither a man or jinn had ever touched before them. 74 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful decorated carpets. 76 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 77 HALLOWED be thy Sustainer's name, full of majesty and glory! 78
