▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for him who lived in awe of the sublimity of his Lord, there will be two gardens -- 46 (jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 47 Full of overhanging branches -- 48 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 49 Wherein are two fountains flowing. 50 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 51 In [each of] these two will two kinds of every fruit be [found]. 52 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 53 Reclining there on carpets lined with brocade, fruits of the garden hanging low within reach. 54 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 55 In the midst of these shall be maidens with modest, restrained glances; maidens whom no man or jinn has ever touched before. 56 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 57 [There will be] maidens as fair as corals and rubies. 58 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 59 Shall the recompense of goodness be anything other than goodness? 60 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 61 And beside them are two other gardens, 62 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain beli? 63 Both [gardens] of the darkest green. 64 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 65 In both of them are two springs, spouting. 66 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 67 In them (both) will be fruits, and date- palms and pomegranates. 68 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 69 Wherein (are found) the good and beautiful - 70 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 71 They are houris (maidens of Paradise), hidden from view, in pavilions. 72 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 73 There hath deflowered them neither man nor jinn. 74 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful carpets. 76 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Honor! 78
