▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But such as fears the Station of his Lord, for them shall be two gardens -- 46 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 47 [two gardens] of many wondrous hues. 48 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 49 Therein are two running fountains. 50 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 51 In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs. 52 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 53 Reclining on beds, the inner coverings of which are of silk brocade; and the fruits of the two gardens shall be within reach. 54 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 55 therein maidens restraining their glances, untouched before them by any man or jinn -- 56 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 57 Like unto Rubies and coral. 58 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 59 Shall the recompense of goodness be anything other than goodness? 60 Which of the laudable attributes of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 61 And beside the two there will be two other Gardens. 62 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 63 Dark green [in color]. 64 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 65 In which will be two fountains gushing forth. 66 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 67 In them are fruits, palm trees and pomegranates. 68 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 69 In them are women of good behaviour and gorgeous faces. 70 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 71 Fair ones, close-guarded in pavilions - 72 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 73 Untouched before them by man or jinni - 74 Which, then, of the benefits of Your Lord will ye twain belie? 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful carpets. 76 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 77 Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Grace. 78
