▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 None touch it except the purified. 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Bring it back, if you should be truthful? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
