Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 And this surely is great evidence if you can understand -- 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 In a book that is protected 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 right before your very eyes? 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 why are you then not able to bring them back to life if you are truthful? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 For him shall be comfort, and fragrance and a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 If it is of those who have rejected the Truth and have gone astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
