۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And you make its denial your share? 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96
