Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the positions of the stars – 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 it is indeed a Glorious Koran, 77 In a book that is protected 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And burning in hell. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
