The people of Noah cried lies to the Envoys 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: If thou cease not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be among those stoned (to death). 116 He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar. 117 Therefor judge Thou between us, a (conclusive) judgment, and save me and those believers who are with me. 118 So We saved him, and those who were with him in the laden ark, 119 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. 120 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 121 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 122
