Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 Then why do you dissimulate this Revelation? 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 and that hour you are watching 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 [ALL OF YOU are destined to die.] Now if one happens to be of those who are drawn close unto God, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
