Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 In a book that is protected 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he is one of those on the right hand, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
