The Column (Al-Suff)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
All whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth proclaims the Purity of Allah; and He only is the Most Honourable, the Wise. 1 O you who believe, wherefore do you say what you do not? 2 It is most hateful to Allah that you should say that which you do not do. 3 Indeed, Allah loves those who fight in His cause in a row as though they are a [single] structure joined firmly. 4 And when Musa said to his people: O my people! why do you give me trouble? And you know indeed that I am Allah's apostle to you; but when they turned aside, Allah made their hearts turn aside, and Allah does not guide the transgressing people. 5 And (remember) when 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said: "O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allah unto you confirming the Taurat [(Torah) which came] before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad. But when he (Ahmad i.e. Muhammad SAW) came to them with clear proofs, they said: "This is plain magic." 6 Who is more unjust than one who creates falsehood against God when he has already been invited to Islam? God does not guide the unjust people. 7 Their intention is to extinguish Allah's Light (by blowing) with their mouths: But Allah will complete (the revelation of) His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it). 8 It is He who sent His Apostle with the guidance and the true way to raise it above all faiths, however the idolaters may dislike it. 9
