Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Blest be He in whose hand is the dominion, and He is over everything Potent. 1 [He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving - 2 Who has created the seven heavens one above another, you can see no fault in the creations of the Most Beneficent. Then look again: "Can you see any rifts?" 3 Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out. 4 And We adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and made them things to stone Satans; and We have prepared for them the chastisement of the Blaze. 5 Those who are bent on blaspheming against their Lord will have the punishment of Hell: an evil destination. 6 When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up. 7 and wellnigh bursts asunder with rage. As often as a troop is cast into it, its keepers ask them, 'Came there no warner to you?'; 8 They will say, "Yes, someone did come to warn us, but we rejected him saying, 'God has revealed nothing. You are in great error". 9 And they will add: "Had we but listened [to those warnings,] or [at least] used our own reason, we would not [now] be among those who are destined for the blazing flame!" 10 Then they will confess their sin. So, away with the dwellers of the blazing Fire. 11 Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward. 12 And conceal your word or manifest it; surely He is Cognizant of what is in the hearts. 13 Does He not know, Who created? And He is the Knower of the subtleties, the Aware. 14
