But what is the matter with those who deny the truth, that they come hastening towards you 36 [coming upon thee] from the right and from the left, in crowds? 37 Does every one of them desire to enter the bountiful Paradise? 38 Not at all, for We have created them of what they know. 39 Now I do call to witness the Lord of all points in the East and the West that We can certainly- 40 to replace them by others who would be better than they; and We shall certainly not be overpowered. 41 So leave them to their vain disputes and amusement till they meet their day (of reckoning) promised them, 42 The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening. 43 With eyes aghast, abasement stupefying them: Such is the Day which they are promised. 44
